We are proud to have been involved with this innovative Golf Links Road and Grant Road upgrade project which is part of Major Road Projects Victoria's (MRPV) Big Build. The original pavement design recommendation by others started out as full reconstruction.
Innovation, collaboration and the extraordinary efforts of the project team and key stakeholders have put this project on track for early completion during a wetter than average 2022 winter.
After further consideration by Site Geotechnical and contractor MACA pavement design recommendations and subsequent construction included innovative sustainable re-use of existing pavement materials through foam bitumen stabilisation (rehabilitation) and asphalt overlays saving both time and money.
The new six-way roundabout at Baxter-Tooradin, Golf Links, Warrandyte, Lower Somerville and Grant Roads together with other upgrading works along some of these major roads should see a comfortable ride and better flow to Peninsula Link, Somerville, Hastings and Western Port Highway.
